Do Your Block Family Landscaping Competition

• Celebrating its 25th Silver Jubilee the 2011 Springtime Flora Festival is proud to announce details of its new and innovative landscape competition:
  
  “Do Your Block”
  
  • Families selected at random from the pool of eligible entries will toil together and compete over the 4 days of the 2011 Flora Festival to create a modest yet impressive backyard landscape setting in one of four pre-selected themes. They will be professionally judged for their creativity, planning and above all, family spirit and team work.
  
  • The families will be given equal amounts of landscaping materials (in the different themes) and tools to create their “BlockScape”. They will also have access to a gardening landscape professional for ten minutes at the start of every day.
  
  • Each Family will receive equal amounts of Flora Cash that can only be spent with Exhibitors at the Festival. Our competitor’s ability to wheel and deal well might make the difference in presenting a spectacular final product.
  
  • Apart from the honour of being the first ever BlockScape champion’s, competitors will be competing for cash and prizes totalling over $10,000. With $2000 cash for the winning family.
  
  
  The competition begins at 6am AEST on Monday 1st August, 2011.
  
  Entries into the competition close at 5pm AEST on Friday 26th August, 2011.
  
  The 4 winning families will be announced between 6am and 9am AEST on Thursday 1st September, 2011.
  
  Return your completed form to Australian Springtime Flora Festival no later than 26th August 2011.
